Mac Terminal Tips: I often lose my cursor in terminal when I type a command wrong, and my resolution was to close terminal. This is not a big deal unless you are SSH’ed into a deep remote directory, and then you lose a couple of minutes getting back to where you started. Turns out that ctrl+z escapes out.
